"The Coastal Georgia Apartment Association has been great to me since I have joined. It has really opened my eyes on how important this association is for the city of Savannah and its surrounding areas. The association has given me the opportunity to meet new professionals in the apartment industry, as well as, help give back to the community with charity events. If you are not apart of this association, you are truly missing out on something that not only can help you grow your personal brand, but your business as well. The CGAA is only growing more and more each year and I'm looking forward to the great things to come."

I love the networking opportunities I am exposed to being a member of the Association. Getting to know other people in the industry that are local to me who I can reach out to for questions or brainstorming ideas has helped me to become a better manager.

Let me start by saying that I genuinely have fun at our events! You get to meet so many great people cut from a similar cloth yet able to bring you so many different approaches and outlooks on what we do in Property Management every day. This association helps you stay in the know about important things going on in our government and local area that affect our businesses, network and make connections with other properties and vendors until they become friends, and bring back so much to the community such as the Tiny House Project with Nine Line Apparel. I definitely don’t regret a minute of the time I’ve given to being a part of this association.

I inherited the Coastal Georgia Sales Territory in June of 2018. Of course it is always a struggle getting to know your way around a new place of business! Attending the GCAA meetings was invaluable to me, it was a perfect fast-track to getting to know my key contacts. My first event was the golf tournament, and everyone was so welcoming and easy to connect with. The President and Board Members were super approachable and very inclusive. I have also been impressed at their educational offerings. Toni Blake was life-changing! I feel like my time spent at CGAA events has given me a huge shortcut into embracing my new market and educating myself. I would highly recommend getting a membership as soon as possible with CGAA!

When I started in the property management business, I was a rookie. I have always worked in customer service, but never with leasing apartments or running a community. Myself and my Property Manager immediately became involved in the CGAA when we both started and took advantage of the amazing classes they offered as well as, their monthly events. For myself, these classes really helped me with understanding what this business was really all about and how to be successful within it and also made it possible to connect with others in the field including vendors and suppliers that make what I do possible. Fast forward a year later and I am now the Assistant Property Manager at my community. I really have to thank the CGAA for the knowledge they provided me to be successful and the people I have been able to connect with.

The Coastal Georgia Apartment Association is an association like no other. Their Executive Director, Sarah Davis, has gone above and beyond to demonstrate the fundamentals of the industry with professionalism and fun. The association events, volunteers, board members have allowed me to grow in my role at Loebsack & Brownlee and as working professional. I am so grateful to be a part of their membership committee and hope to be as involved as I can in the years to come!
